Following three university degrees, including a Masters degree in Medical Science, I returned to university to undertake a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning. I have a passion for teaching and learning in Science and Mathematics and wish to pursue these in my teaching career. I currently teach Middle/Senior School Science and Mathematics with the MYP and SACE curricula and have previous experience relief teaching from R-12 in the majority of subjects. My current work includes curriculum planning and assignment writing aligned with the MYP framework. I have also undertaken extensive volunteer work as a teaching and learning support assistant in a Junior School and Junior Primary setting.
The aim of my teaching career is to focus on Science, and increase my knowledge of both content and pedagogy. To this end (and out of interest) I have recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. I also have an interest in Arts integration in Science, and am interested in continued research in the area, especially as to applies to the MYP curriculum.
